On the divan, Europe, circa 1750 Folded fan, the skin sheet lined with paper and painted in gouache with a scene in the oriental style. Under the vaulted ceiling of a palace, two sovereigns recline on divans, surrounded by their servants, and receive in audience an old man leaning on his cane. Reverse: two young women and a soldier in front of ancient ruins. Rich and beautiful white mother-of-pearl mounting, finely beaded, carved, engraved, burgundy, silvered and gilded, illustrated with two rams confronting each other, flanked by lovers on either side. In the center, a young woman kneels before Venus on her chariot. Height 29 cm (wear, accidents, restorations, does not fold)
