Oil on canvas, bearing on the lower part of the painting the identification of the characters represented in this historical scene 1: the Duc d'Anjou who has just been proclaimed King of Spain, under the name of Philippe V, at his knees, the Spanish ambassador, the Marquis de Castel dos Rios; 2: King Louis XIV; 3: the Grand Dauphin, son of Louis XIV; 4: the Duke of Burgundy; 5: the Duchess of Burgundy; 6: the Duke of Berry; 7: the Duke of Orleans; 8: the Duke of Chartres; 9: the Prince of Condé; 10: the Prince of Bourbon; 11: the Prince of Conti; 12: the Duke of Maine; 13: the Count of Toulouse; 14: the Duke of Vendôme; 15: the Grand Prior.
