WAX SEAL. - Lot 83
WAX SEAL. Round-shaped silver die engraved in the center with a coat of arms under a marquis's helmet crown with the episcopal arms probably of a member of the de Clermont- Tonnerre family (possibly Jean-Louis Aynard de Clermont- Tonnerre) surrounded by the inscription: "Castalus Abbas Canoniae Neocellensis", dated 1794, mounted on a metal socket. Two wax seals and an ink seal, mounted on wooden handles. Weathered, as is. French work, late 18th and 19th century. Diameter: 4 cm, and various sizes.
