TOMMASEO M.N., Documents inédits sur l'histoire de France, Relations des Ambassadeurs vénitiens, published by the Imprimerie Royale, Paris. Royale, Paris, 1838, two volumes of 563 and 832 pp. in 4°. Half-bound in brown calf, spine decorated at the top with the interlaced monogram in gold letters of King Louis-Philippe (LP) under a royal crown, inscribed "D.P., 1838" at the bottom of the volume, title and volume in black morocco, title in gold letters. Bears the bookplate Aubry Vitet and a handwritten note in the first pages of the second volume "Voyez dans le Duc de Guise (t.1, p.27) une note exacte sur les relations des ambassadeurs vénitiens". Freckling, age-toning, as is.
