Large silver teapot, resting on a frame molded with fillets, the body is chased with broad twisted ribs. The lid, with similar ornamentation, is edged with amati and ends in an acanthus-leaf grip. The spout and handle are chased with flowers, scrolls and split acanthus leaves. Goldsmith: François-Julien Doyen, insculpe in 1852, biffage in 1870. Paris, mid-19th century. Height: 24 cm.
