46. OLIVIER SCHWARTZ (b. 1968) - Lot 46
46. OLIVIER SCHWARTZ (b. 1968) Atom Agency, T.1, Les bijoux de la Begum, plate 27. (Dupuis, 2010, based on a scenario by Yann) India ink on paper, signed. Author's stamp on back, dated February 8, 2018. 46x34 cm. Olivier Schwartz was born in 1963 in Nogent-sur-Marne. A self-taught cartoonist, he made his debut in 1983 in the fanzine PLG, before illustrating his first comics for young people with Milan, with scriptwriters Claude Ecken and then Christian Goux. At the same time, commissioned by Astrapi magazine, he sketched the investigations of Inspector Bayard in 1988, mainly scripted by Jean-Louis Fonteneau. He contributes to most youth press titles, drawing numerous games, tests and historical comics, and more recently, illustrating novels and encyclopedias. Hired by Yann, and after a few aborted projects, he fulfilled a dream by drawing an adventure for Spirou and Fantasio. Text © Dupuis
