Born in Aubervilliers in 1981, Nine Antico is a comic strip author, illustrator and film-maker. After creating her own fanzine - Rock this way, with its eloquent title - she turned to the press before being published and exhibited by Art's Factory. Her first autobiographical work, "Le Goût du paradis" ("The Taste of Paradise"), was published in 2008 by Ego comme X, and won the attention of the Angoulême Festival in the "Revelations" category; "Coney Island Baby" (2010), "Tonight" (2012), the diptych "Autel California" (2014) and "America" (2017) followed. In her works, she often depicts the deliciously vintage atmosphere of the second half of the 20th century, the atmospheres of the American underground, or paints inspiring portraits of women with sultry backgrounds.
Immersed in the culture of the 80s and 90s and in rock, she participated in "Summer of the 80s" and "Rock Strips" (2009), among others. In summer 2019, she will direct her first feature film, "Playlist" (Text © Dupuis /Aire libre).
