U-shaped coffee table.
Entirely upholstered in fawn-colored leather checks (by Hermès) on a wooden lath core.
Circa 1935.
Signed and numbered J-M. FRANK - CHANAUX & Cie 37 on a leather strip glued to the underside of one of the legs.
Height: 45.5 cm - Length: 60 cm - Width: 40 cm
Damage, missing parts, stains, significant traces of moisture at the base of each leg, used condition.
Provenance and history :
Jean and Violet Henson Collection (1894-1974) (1887-1971). Probably received as a gift from Jean-Michel Frank (cf. Jean Henson, A time for réflexion, éditions Somogy, Paris, 1949, page 194).
