Tortoiseshell and silver, China, 19th century Rare brown tortoiseshell broken-type fan with silver-plated garden scenes on both sides. The terminal strands are decorated with figures. Gilded metal hoop and silk tassel. H.t. 24 cm (slight wear and deformation of some strands, ribbon to be replaced) Weight 123 gr In a rare, original double box. One in black lacquered bamboo with gold decoration, the other in cardboard with a glass lid indicating an exceptional piece.
