Roses and pansies, Europe, circa 1860 Luxurious, screen-tilting parasol with ivory-colored silk cover and bobbin lace top. Ivory handle carved with flowers and pearls. Gold-plated forks. Figured knob. Marked by the famous Parisian firm "Cazals", supplier to Empress Eugénie. Total length64 cm Eight silk-sheathed whalebone ribs, 26 cm Weight 210 gr All umbrellas and parasols containing ivory, whale baleen or rhinoceros horn are issued with an intra-Community certificate, or K permit, allowing them to circulate in Europe.
