DUQUESNAY (Mgr Alfred). On: Brevarium Romanum, pars verna, Mechlinae (Malines), 1866, small in-4 (10.9 x 18.1 cm), full old red morocco, ornate ribbed spine, Dusseuil-style plate on boards, gilt coat of arms in center of boards, double gilt fillet on edges, inner gilt lace, silk endpapers, all edges gilt [binding signed L. Lesort on tail]. Upper headband worn, lower headband rubbed, upper corners dulled, inside fresh. Remains of a very fine presentation. Alfred Duquesnay (1814-1884), bishop of Limoges and 1871 and archbishop of Cambrai in 1881. Handwritten bookplate
