Black canvas breeches and blue velvet and black canvas vest - Lot 138
Black canvas breeches and blue velvet and black canvas vest with silver thread braid and 9 silver buttons (cul de panier). The Sutton tailor's label sewn into the breeches identifies this part of the livery, dated February 1922, as that of M. Jean Mott, valet to M. le Cte Emmanuel de La Rochefoucauld (1883-1974), Château de Montbel in the Cher department (fair condition). A pair of parma velvet livery breeches and a black frac vest are attached, along with a box of the same provenance containing livery pieces and wicker-bottom buttons with tailor's labels.
