Large coachman's coat in midnight-blue woollen cloth with bl - Lot 4
Large coachman's coat in midnight-blue woollen cloth with black brandebourgs, lined with yellow canvas and fitted with 20 large and 4 small silver buttons (not missing), by Charles d'Albert (1845-1870), Duc de Luynes et de Chevreuse (1854), who died in the battle of Loigny in 1870. He married Yolande de La Rochefoucauld in 1867, but this button predates the marriage (period 1854-1867). Some moth holes and inner lining partly torn, but overall satisfactory condition [button I-10].
