Three bobbin lace borders, 1st third of the 20th century. In cream-colored cotton, including two demonstration borders in Point de Paris with their starting and ending threads, one classified as "war lace" with a Pekingese design, created as a thank-you to President Hebert Hoover who helped Belgian lace production during World War I, and who had a predilection for this breed of dog, lead stamped DENTELLE VERITABLE at one end, Dim. 150 x 7.5 cm, a fine one decorated with dogs chasing a deer, Dim. 140 x 7.5 cm, and a Malines lace decorated with roses and edelweiss, a motif created as a tribute to Queen Elisabeth of Bavaria, wife of King Albert 1st of Belgium, who adored these two flowers, Dim. 2.20 m x 8 cm.
