Ombrelle marquise, Chantilly, 2nd third of the 19th century. The pavilion in cream silk and mechanical Chantilly lace is a beautiful imitation of a Chantilly bobbin with a large cartouche decoration of flowering branches and a cloisonné border adorned with florets. The interior is double-faced in cream silk. The handle is carved in ivory with fluting and a small pommel decorated in the same way, the bone grounding rod without its ring, engraved metal ferrule and slides, eight whalebone ribs, each 23.5 cm long. Total length 59.5 cm, weight 147 gr (very good condition). An intra-Community certificate, permit K, allowing the circulation in Europe of objects containing ivory and whale baleen will be issued to the buyer.
