Towel collection, de Montesquiou-Fezensac, late 19th/early 20th century. Seven large granite towels with embroidered MMF for de Montesquiou-Fezensac under the crown of Duke and Peer of France, including five with bobbin lace borders and two decorated with drawn thread days and cartouches, and eight large fringed towels, including five damasked with scales and borders embroidered with a floral motif with drawn thread and three damasked with irises. Fifteen pieces in all (fine condition). Provenance: Montesquiou-Fezensac family
