DISCO REVUE 1963 / JEAN-CLAUDE BERTHON (1942/2005): Famous monthly magazine founded and directed by Jean-Claude Berthon from September 28, 1961 to December 31, 1967. This publication helped introduce American rockers such as Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Buddy Holly... and the bands The Beatles, The Rolling Stones to France, and above all popularized the first French rock singers such as Les Chats Sauvages, Les Chaussettes Noires, Vince Taylor, Johnny Hallyday.... Disco Revue was also the first magazine to publish a chart of the best-selling records in France. An original poster announcing the concert at the Palais des Sports in Paris, on Sunday January 27 1963, by Gene Vincent with Les Chats Sauvages, Les Chaussettes Noires with Eddy Mitchell, Dany Boy & Les Pingouins, Frankie Jordan, Vic Laurens, Les Champions, Burt Blanca and Johnny Taylor.
