Gilded wood frame with pearls frieze. Dim. at sight : 70.5 x 57.5 cm. Jean-Théodore Fantin Latour born in Metz in 1805. He studied in the studio of the history painter Benjamin Rolland. He arrived in Paris in 1841. He is the father of the famous painter, often medallist, Henri Fantin Latour. The portrait that we present to you depicts Mr. Jean- Baptiste Gustave Degrange Touzin de Martignac, director of the Domains, and his wife Madame Anne-Augustine Moutié.
