DOUBLE LOCK BOX FROM THE EMPEROR NAPOLEON I PERIOD. Rectangular in shape, in finely chased gilt bronze, decorated with two eagles in relief, wings outstretched, facing each other and holding in their talons an olive branch and a branch of palms held by a ribbon, bordered by a frieze of water leaves. The opening handles are engraved with the monogram N (Napoleon) framed by two palmettes. With the manufacturer's initials S.T. Weathered, but overall good condition. French work, First Empire period. H. 10 cm - L. 44 cm. Provenance: Tuileries Palace.
