PAIR OF CANDELABRA. ATTRIBUTED TO LOUIS-AUGUSTE BEURDELEY (1808-1882). Based on a model by François Rémond (1745-1812). With three chased, patinated and gilded bronze arms decorated with flowers and leafy arabesques, topped by a pinecone and supported by a winged sphinx in antique patinated bronze. The ensemble rests on a base surrounded by a frieze of water leaves and adorned in the center with a round cookie medallion decorated with a flowering vase on a blue patina background in imitation of lapis lazuli, ending with four feet. Chased and gilded bronze, with antique patinas. Slight wear to the gilding, but overall good condition. French work, 19th century, in the Louis XVI style. H. 48 cm - W. 21 cm - D. 8 cm.
