DELACROIX, Eugène (1798-1863). - Lot 35
DELACROIX, Eugène (1798-1863). Set of 3 autograph letters written in the third person and addressed to the modern art dealer Emmanuel Weyl. S.l., "11 août" s.d., November 1854, March 1858. 1 p. 1/2 in-8°. Two autograph addresses on versos. Minor defects of the time Delacroix asks for "his small account because of a trip he will be taking in three days", and specifies about a painting that "has not been exhibited even though it was positively agreed that it would be for a fortnight. He would like to have explanations on this subject". Delacroix claims his dues for "a painting he sold him this summer" (1854), as well as "the border for his painting, chasse aux lions, canvas 50. He will need it to finish it" (1858).
