DELACROIX, Eugène (1798-1863). L.A. written in the third person, addressed to the art dealer Emmanuel Weyl. Champrosay, "May 25", n.d. 1 p. in-8°. Scratches, very slight age defects Les Pirates africains, painting by Delacroix exhibited at the Salon. "Mr. Delacroix greets Mr. Weill well and informs him that he will be spending a few more days in the country: he hastened to write him the price he wanted for the Pirates painting exhibited at the Salon: this price is 2,000 francs. Unfortunately, he won't be able to give him his little painting any time soon, having spent all the time he's been away from Paris resting."
