ORHUN, Emre (1976) 46. ORHUN, Emre (born 1976) Erzsebet, plate 22. India ink (scratched) on polyester tracing paper. 40x30cm. Signed. Emre Orhun is an illustrator of Turkish nationality, born in China, adopted by Lyon since 1993, trained in drawing at the Ecole Emile Cohl in Lyon. For his creations, he most often uses the scratch card technique, which he first saw in a comic strip by underground artist Thomas Ott. He has published a large number of albums for youth publishing but also works regularly for the national press ("Le Monde", "XXI", "Libération"...) In 2010, he published Erzsebet at Glénat, the story of the famous bloodthirsty Hungarian countess Erzebet Bathory.
