LAW Relative to the silverware of the Churches & the Hou - Lot 450
LAW Relative to the silverware of the Churches & the Houses dependent on the Civil List. Of September 9, 1792, the year 4.° of the Liberty. "The Minister of the contributions asks the word & asks, by interpreting the wish of the Assembly, that the silverware of the churches & the houses depending on the civil list, is carried to the hotels of the nearest mints, to be monetized. This request converted into motion, is decreed." In Paris, M.DCC.XCII. in-4 of 2 pp. with simple title of departure, unbound. This law, orders the seizure and melting of gold and silver objects contained in churches and houses on the civil list. The notion of civil list appeared in France in France in 1790. It consisted of two elements: an annual endowment allocated by the State to the sovereign for the expenses of his household, thus making it possible to distinguish the expenses of the crown within the State budget, and an endowment of real estate and movable property, consisting of a set of identified assets within the State domain. It consisted mainly of residences used for the sovereign's living quarters and for the maintenance of which he had to provide.
