RADIATOR CAP OF THE CAR OF PRINCE AXEL OF DENMARK. René Lalique (1860-1945), France, circa 1928. Pressed white glass plate, round shape representing Saint Christopher with a cane carrying a child on his shoulders on a radiant background, mounted on a circular base retained by its original metal mounting ring, presented on a (later) blackened wooden base of cylindrical shape. Small accident on the base, but good general condition. Signed R. Lalique in hollow. Model created in 1928. H. 17 cm - Diameter: 10 cm. Provenance : former collection of Prince Axel of Denmark (1888-1964), who married on May 22, 1919 Princess Margareth of Sweden (1899-1977), then kept by descent.
