CHIFFONIER FROM THE ROOM OF KING CHRISTIAN IX OF DENMARK AT THE AMALIENBORG PALACE. In mahogany and mahogany veneer, of slightly curved form, opening in front on nine drawers with gilded bronze handles, with side door held by a lock to block all the drawers. The reverse side bears the iron mark of the collection of King Christian IX of Denmark: C (Christian) under the royal crown and the label bearing the inscription in Danish: "Palaiet nr. 123 Amaliegade. Lb Nr 2 ". English work, 19th century Regency style. H. : 165 cm - W. : 76 cm - D.. : 44 cm. Provenance : former collection of King Christian IX of Denmark (1818-1906), then by succession in the descent of his son Prince Waldemar of Denmark (1858-1939).
