CIGARETTE CASE HAVING BELONGED TO KING LEOPOLD II OF BELGIUM. By J. Mercier, Brussels, late 19th century. In silver, rectangular shape, rounded on the corners, opening on hinges by a silver catch, with applied decoration of the monogram of the sovereign L (Leopold) under royal crown, inside vermeil. Preserved in its original case. Slight wear from time, but good condition. Title mark : 800, Brussels. Goldsmith's mark : J. Mercier. Gross weight : 161 g. Provenance : former collection of King Leopold II of Belgium (1835-1909).
