ÉCOLE FRANÇAISE DU XIXE SIÈCLE. Portrait of Marie-Amélie Queen of the French (1782-1866). Miniature on ivory, oval shape, representing the wife of King Louis-Philippe after the portrait of Louis Hersent (1777-1860), exhibited at the Salon of 1831, preserved under glass in a gilt bronze frame, topped by a ribboned bow, with a pedestal on the back. Sight : H. : 7,5 cm - W. : 6,5 cm. Frame: H.: 11 cm - W.: 8 cm. Reference: this miniature portrait is related to another version from the collection of François d'Orléans, prince of Joinville (1818-1900), presented in the sale of the estate of the Count and Countess of Paris, October 14, 2008, under n°215.
