PLATE WITH ARMORIAL DECORATION FOR THE DUTCH MARKET (CRANSSEN AND HARTMAN) IN CHINA PORCELAIN. Qianlong period (1736-1795). Decorated in famille rose enamels, with the arms of the Cranssen and Hartman families. Frieze on the wing. This service was commissioned by Wilem Jacob Cranssen (1762- 1821), and Maria Hartman (1773-1805), married in Batavia in 1789. Wilem Cranssen held several positions in the VOC. A large part of the service (170 pieces) was still in the possession of three branches of the family's descendants in the late 1990s. A plate is also preserved in the Couperus Museum in The Hague. Only a few pieces were offered on the market. Some wear to the decoration and small chip. Diameter : 23 cm.
