GARIDEL Pierre-Joseph History of the plants which are born around Aix and in several places of Provence. Aix, Joseph David, 1715. In-folio, 25 x 36cm, XXXIV +XVIII +524 pp. (misquoted 522), 12 ff., frontispiece and 100 plates, contemporary binding in tan calf, spine decorated with gilt designs. First edition. The illustration engraved by the Aixois Honoré Blanc includes an allegorical frontispiece after A. Bouisson, an entablature with the arms of the Duke of Orleans, an initials and 100 botanical plates. A good copy. Small paper cut in the margin of the frontispiece, 4 leaves of the preface detached, wetness in the throat of a few leaves, binding slightly rubbed, cords worn. IFF xviii, III, p.30, n°9 (which mentions only 98 plates).
