ÉCOLE RUSSE DU XIXE SIÈCLE. ATTRIBUTED TO FRIEDRICH THEODOR VON MÖLLER (1812-1874). Portrait of Pierre de Rasmanoff, circa 1840. Oil on canvas, preserved in its original carved and gilt wood frame. Slight wear of the time, accidents to the frame, as is. Sight : H. : 44,5 cm - L. : 37 cm. Frame : H. : 59 cm - W. : 52 cm. History : this portrait represents Pierre de Rasmanoff (1810-1895), chamberlain of the Imperial Court of Russia. He served under the reigns of three emperors, Tsars Nicholas I, Alexander II and Alexander III. From his union in 1861 with Adèle Wilden were born two boys, Pierre in 1862 and Michel in 1890.
