Alb and cuffs with ecclesiastical symbols, spindle, Flanders, 19th century. Two alternating motifs, a vase with carnations and ears of wheat from which rise mirrored volutes punctuated with flowers decorated with various stitches, and a flowered basket between flexible vine shoots with bunches of grapes, and various ecclesiastical symbols coiled within leafy volutes of which two angels kneeling, the paschal lamb, the pelican feeding its young, etc... Linen color light ivory. Two cuffs matched with vases and flower baskets as a reminder of the decoration of the steering wheel. This lace is a beautiful example of these laces made in the nineteenth century and resuming the ornamental register of the laces of the mid-seventeenth century. Dim. flounce : 2,70 m x 34 cm (good condition for the ruffle with some small accidents in the upper edge, some stains on the cuffs)
