Four bobbin laces, Maison Lefébure, 2nd half of the 19th century. A rare border in bobbin lace with patches of Valenciennes de Gand type with motifs of roses and foliage worked without relief and connected by a straight network but with diamond-shaped meshes, with each of the ends finished in the continuity of the drawing, Dim. 70 x 5 cm (good condition, tiny resumptions to the network) An element of triangular form in Valenciennes lace with semi continuous threads, sample for a parasol pavilion, Dim. 33 x 24 cm laid flat (good condition) Two samples of type Valenciennes to the spindles to the parts brought back of which one masterly realized to the spindles with decoration pointing out the laces of Brussels of the middle of the XVIIIth century, Dim. 44 x 24 cm (beautiful state, a small pinkish spot) and a sample with floral decoration and varied networks, Dim. 27 x 17 cm (beautiful state for both) Provenance: sale of October 3, 1989, Lefébure fund, Ionesco study in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
