Needlepoint lace flounce, Erzgebirge, late 19th century. Beautiful example, particularly finely made with the needle, of this lace produced in the region of southern Germany which uses the technique of the Point of Gauze, but with the reasons connected directly between them or by fine bridles. Decorated with branches in circumvolution with flexible stems of flowers with bulbs and beautiful cut out leaves, frieze of large flowers opened out in edge. Dim. 1,85 m x 15 cm (good condition, some freckles)
