Sedan type lace, needlepoint, circa 1720-30. A border in transitional lace between Sedan and Brussels lace, very finely made in needlepoint, decorated with an undulating river decorated with Argentella type stitches and large cartouches with flowers, berries and foliage, the motifs linked by a decoration of hexagonal motifs with fine picoté flanges and square spirit stitches, 1.25 m x 7 cm (bleached, some holes) A border in very fine Alençon needle lace reused in the nineteenth century to decorate the neck of a tulle guimpe, with large floral motifs linked by large stitches in festoon stitch, in fine cream linen, Dim. lace: 85 cm x 6 cm (some small accidents) to which we join a beard in Argentan lace later (restorations)
