Important Louis XVI period silver coffee pot, resting on three feet decorated with squares, Greek and acanthus leaves on an amati background. The body, swollen in its lower part, is chiseled with water leaves on an amati background, garlands of flowers and fruits, as well as large channels. The spout is made of a duck's head extended by an acanthus leaf. The lid, with a large stave, is decorated with the same elements as the body and ends with a seed formed by a burst fruit. The handle is in blackened wood. Engraved under the body I.B.R. Master-goldsmith : IDP Gand, 1785 Mark of overload - gothic letter "E": Belgian mark of importation in use from March 1, 1832 to July 1, 1869.
