LEGENTIL, Alexandre Félix (1821-1889), businessman, lawyer and philanthropist. Owner of the department stores "Au Petit Saint-Thomas", president of the Society of Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, secretary of the Universal Exhibition of 1855, he founded with his wife Marie Legentil (1828-1920) the Society of Professional Teaching for Women, etc. His heart is in the crypt of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Montmartre, whose project he initiated. Set of 14 autograph leaves, all signed. S.l.n.d. 14 pp. in-folio. Interesting set of 14 large tables forming a project of Civil Code entitled "Étude sur le droit". An autograph letter from Legentil dedicated to economic sciences is attached. S.l.n.d. 1 p. in-8. Scratches.
