Set of 3 L.A.S. on the letterhead of the Museum of Natural History. Paris and s.l., February 20, 1863 and July 23, 1870 and s.d. 4 pp. in-4 or in-8.
Chevreul evokes his colleagues: Henri Becquerel, Doctor Pierre Rayer, etc., a publication, an adversary of the Museum "General of division wearing epaulets with three stars and a very large sword". He "reviews" a manuscript before delivering it, etc.

- VERNEUIL, Edouard de (1805-1873), French paleontologist. L.A.S. addressed to Chevreul. March 10, 1855. 1 p. in-8. Invitation to come to dinner with other geologists. Handwritten mention on the reverse side attesting to the discovery of this letter in 1892 in Chevreul's library.
