VICTOR HUGO'S FUNERAL - 1885. Precious historical relics composed of a lace element and a piece of the pax ribbon from Victor Hugo's coffin. The coffin of the great man will then be exposed during a funeral vigil on May 31, 1885 at the Arc de Triomphe and then during the parade until his entry into the Pantheon, June 1, 1885. The set is preserved in a small envelope bearing the handwritten inscription: "Morceau de dentelle provenant du tombeau de Victor Hugo au Panthéon" and "Fragments du Pax". Provenance: these elements were offered only to the persons present at the time of the burial, of which the closest friends and the members of the family of Victor Hugo.
