DESSERT SERVICE Imperial Manufacture, St. Petersburg, 1855-1881. Set of 10 hard porcelain dessert plates, decorated with a central gold rosette circled with a purple band and surrounded by a frieze of flowers, the border is decorated with a frieze openwork molded lattice, forming small lozenges enhanced with gold. This service of Austrian origin, cadaeau of the emperor of Austria to Tsar Paul I, was completed under the reign of Tsar Alexander II, by the imperial manufacture of porcelain, of Saint Petersburg. Mark on the reverse in green letters: A II under imperial crown. Slight wear of the time to the gilding, but good general condition. Diameter : 23 cm.
