Of round shape, in boxwood burr, decorated on the lid with a miniature portrait on ivory? representing Miss de Neyrac wearing a white dress posing next to a bust of Mirabeau, preserved under glass in a gold circled frame, inside in tortoise shell. Small accidents and wear of the time, but good condition. French work, late 18th century, revolutionary period. H. : 2,2 cm - Diam. : 9 cm. Provenance : former collection of Miss Henriette-Amélie de Nehra, transmitted by descent to the de Cantigny family, then by succession of the latter at the time of the sale of an estate in Aix-en-Provence.
