SERVICE A ENTREMETS FOR THE TABLE OF KING LOUIS XVIII. CAILLET, PARIS, 1819-1834. A silverware set decorated with the coat of arms of France under a royal crown surrounded by the collars of the order of Saint-Michel and the order of the Holy Spirit. Composed of 12 dessert forks, 16 dessert spoons, 15 small dessert spoons, 14 fruit knives (gilt blades, some of which are from the House of Touron) and 9 cheese knives (steel blade from the House of Grangerer with monogram H under the royal crown). The set is preserved in a later leather case from the House of Gustave Keller in Paris, stamped in the center of the lid with a royal crown. Wear of time, but good condition. Goldsmith's mark : Jean-Charles Caillet. Marked : 1st title, Paris, 1819-1834. L. : 18,5 cm, 14,5 cm, 20 cm, 19,5 cm. Total gross weight : 3 kg 373 g.
