Successions collected by the baron de Breteuil Extract of the inventory after the death of Made de Créquy... (6 handwritten pages in-4). Document dated 26 pluviôse year XI (15 February 1803) concerning the designation of the heirs of Victoire de Froulay (1714-1803), widow of the marquis of Créquy, among which her cousin from the first line, the baron de Breteuil. Inheritance of madame the stake of Louvois, died in 1781... (5 pieces in-8 and in-4). Manuscript will (?) in Dutch of Hermana Cornelia de Vriezen d'Hussel, widow of A. J. B. van Huffel, future marquise of Louvois, of April 9, 1770, with heraldic cold and red wax seals; French transcription of this will which institutes the baron de Breteuil, then French ambassador to the Netherlands, as her universal legatee, with the translation of the letter of transmittal; Apperçu de la succession de feüe madame la marquise de Louvois pour 495 677 florins de passif (dont 228 571 florins en faveur du marquis de Louvois) et 274 449 florins d'actif; Copy of the letter of mr le mis de Louvois to H. E. M. the bailly of Breteüil asking him to intervene so that his nephew, the baron de Breteuil, accepts the legacy because "if by misfortune for [him] he refuses it, it falls into the hands of three collaterals hardly related, of which two are own judges in their cause and the 3rd lawyer"; letter of September 6, 1788 announcing to the baron de Breteuil that he won his lawsuit against the count von Rechteren-Limpurg. On the folder containing this set, it is indicated "I do not know in what capacity the good de Breteuil received this inheritance". -B3
