The Madonna of the Tiara, painting with glued threads, southern Italy, probably Naples or Lecce, 18th century, polychrome silk threads and metallic threads glued with wax on cardboard, the skin tones are painted in tempera on silk satin. The scene represented is a faithful replica of the painting by Gian-Francesco Penni (ca. 1488-1528) The Virgin with a Tiara, kept in the Louvre Museum (inv. Peintures 603), 43.5 x 30.5 cm.
