VALLS, GUY (1920-1989) SET OF TWO ILLUSTRATIONS "Thank you my little lady" The Plumber and "The return of Age". Dimensions of each drawing 25 x 32, 5 cm. Indian ink and blue pencil on paper, signed. Georges WOLINSKI (1934-2015) was a press cartoonist of Tunisian origin. He became known in the 60s after joining the team of "Hara Kiri", led by Cavanna and Professor Choron. From 1970 to 1981, he was the editor of "Charlie Mensuel", defining himself as "a press cartoonist above all, a chronicler of current events, politics and the passing of time". He regularly published his satirical drawings in "l'Humanité", "Libération", "Le Nouvel Observateur", "L'Echo des Savanes", "Paris Match" and "Charlie Hebdo", of which he was one of the pillars. He was the winner of the Grand Prix of the 32nd Festival of Angoulême in 2005. On January 7, 2015, he was the victim of the shooting at the headquarters of the newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
