Joseph Jarrosson's handwritten weaving course, 1890-1892, a two-volume course illustrated with nearly 130 samples of silks described with maps and numerous technical diagrams. The first volume is devoted to plain silks, the second to shaped silks, (some rubbing, one map is missing). In-folio, dark brown half-chagrin, with corners, spine with decorated nerves, initials J. J. at the foot of the spine. At the turn of the century, Joseph Jarrosson and his brother Henry took over the management of the family factory founded in 1839 and active in Lyon until the 1960s.
