Les plaisirs lointains, ca. 1770-1780 Folded fan, the double sheet in gouache paint. On a daybed in a garden, a man plays with his parrot. The bird, like many illustrated butterflies, is executed in natural feathers in relief. On both sides, garlands of flowers and cartels with Chinese-inspired subjects, on a blue background with gold stripes. Reverse side painted with flowering branches and a pagoda. Mounting in ivory* cut, engraved, burgauté, of loves, vases and flowers painted and gilded. H.t. 27 cm-H.f. 12,3 cm (wear, restorations)
