The Sleeping Shepherdess, ca. 1750-1760 Folded fan, the skin sheet painted with gouache of a sleeping shepherdess near her dog. A gallant offers a basket of flowers to another shepherdess. On the left, a hunter among reeds, on the right, a milkmaid near a pyramid, perhaps it is an icebox? this monument was intended to preserve ice in the gardens of castles. A couple of farmers on the reverse. White mother-of-pearl mounting richly cut, pierced, carved, engraved, burgundy and gilded. In the center, a hunt with riders and a stag. Hunters and their dog on the sides. H.t. 28,5 cm-H.f. 13,4 cm (important accidents and restorations)
