PAIR OF GOLD HANDLEBARS. By PERKHINE for FABERGÉ, St. Petersburg, before 1896. Of tubular form with translucent red enamel decoration on a guilloche background of "barley grain", held by a chain with pink gold links. Slight wear and tear, minor restorations, but good condition. Title mark: 56, St. Petersburg, before 1896. Goldsmith's marks: Mikhaïl Perkhine (1860-1903). L.: 2 cm. Gross weight: 10 g. Reference: see a similar model of cufflinks made by the same master goldsmith, but set with diamond roses that belonged to King Edward VII of Great Britain (1841-1910), currently in the collection of Queen Elizabeth II, see the book "Fabergé in the royal collection", by Caroline de Guitaut, published in 2003, page 190 and 191
