Wedding handkerchief with the coat of arms and count's crown, 2nd half of the 19th century. In handloom with large coats of arms between two lions rampant and under count's crown embroidered in plumetis, sand point and point launched in an angle, marriage of Albert Le MERCIER de MAISONCELLEVERTILLE, viscount of RICHEMONT (1841-1905) with Marie-Catherine de JACQUELIN-DULPHÉ (1843-1910) on October 15, 1872 in Paris. Their daughter Yvonne LE MERCIER de MAISONCELLE-VERTILLE de RICHEMEOND married Louis-Arnauld de GIRONDE, we sell the wedding handkerchief of the parents of this last one with the alliance arms of the families, lot 218 of the sale. Handkerchief border embroidered with a frieze of daisies in full bloom and oblong medallions decorated with fine modes of Alençon type in needlework (good condition, fading and small stains scattered, modes detached from a medallion) We thank Mr. Emmanuel Vincent for his precious help concerning the identification of the coat of arms
